Where to Eat in Weston: My Personal List

One of the first questions people ask me when they move to Weston has nothing to do with schools, taxes or square footage. They ask me where to eat.

I understand it completely. You can read all the reports you want about a neighborhood, but you only start to feel at home when you have a place to take the family on Sunday, a place for a quick lunch between showings, and a place you go to when you want to celebrate something.

I have been showing homes in Weston for years and I eat here almost every day. So this is not a list I copied from a website. These are the places I actually go to, and the ones I send my clients to when they ask.

Ke-Uh, for sushi

I will say it directly. Ke-Uh is one of the best sushi restaurants in South Florida, not only in Weston.

I have clients who drive here from Miami for it, which tells you something. If you are new to the area and you think you have to go down to Brickell or Miami Beach for good sushi, try this first. You will save yourself the drive.

Zona Blu and Bellini, for Italian

Weston is lucky with Italian food. Zona Blu and Bellini are both very good and I go to both depending on the mood. If you have people visiting from out of town and you want a safe choice that will make you look good, either one works.

Baires, for drinks and happy hour

Baires is for the evening. Good meat, good drinks, and a happy hour that people in Weston actually plan around. If you want to meet friends after work and stay a while, this is the place.

Graziano's, for casual nights and good meat

Graziano's in Weston Town Center is my go to when I want something casual but still good. The meat is the reason to go, and the wine list is serious without being complicated. They usually have a lot of specials, so it is worth asking what they are running that day before you order from the menu.

The location helps too. Weston Town Center is a nice area to walk around before or after dinner, so it turns into a whole evening instead of just a meal.

One Lebanese, for the family table

One Lebanese is where I go when we are a big group. The food is made for sharing, which changes the way the whole dinner feels. Everybody tries a bit of everything and nobody is sitting there quietly with their own plate.

The staff is also very friendly, and that matters more than people admit. It is the kind of place where you feel taken care of.

Pizza Please, for pizza lovers

The name says everything. If pizza is what you want, this is where you go. Simple as that, and sometimes simple is exactly what you need on a Friday after a long week.

The Cheese Course, for salads and coffee

The Cheese Course is my lunch place. Good salads, good coffee, and a calm space where you can actually sit and work or talk for an hour without anyone rushing you. I have signed more than one contract at a table here.

Organic Corner, for clean and vegetarian food

If you eat organic, or if you have a vegetarian in the family and you are tired of ordering them a side salad, Organic Corner solves the problem. There are a lot of vegetarian choices and the food feels light, which in this climate is not a small thing.

I send a lot of clients here after they tell me they are trying to eat better once they move.

Gelato by Carlotta, for dessert

The ingredients come from Italy and honestly you can taste the difference. I am not the kind of person who gets excited about dessert, but this is real gelato, not the sweet frozen thing that gets sold under the same name everywhere.

Take it to go and walk a little. That is the correct way to do it.

Why I bother writing about restaurants

Some of my colleagues think a real estate agent should only talk about prices and inventory. I do not agree.

When a family moves here fromanother country  or from another state, they are not only buying a house. They are choosing where their life is going to happen. The restaurants, the walk around the town center, the place where the staff learns your name, all of that is part of what you are buying. And in Weston that part is genuinely good, which is one of the reasons the market here stays strong even when other areas slow down.

So when I show a home in Weston, we usually end up talking about food at some point. It is part of the tour.
